JOB DESCRIPTION Position: Physiotherapist Job Grade Band 4 Department SRCS Mogadishu Rehabilitation Centre. Location Physiotherapy Department Report to Head physiotherapy Department. Back ground SRCS is an independent, non-political humanitarian organisation. It was established in April 1963 and became a legal entity following Presidential Decree No. 187 in 1965. SRCS has operated continuously throughout the country’s period of civil war and political divide and is credited for its unity as one National Society. It operates through a network of nineteen branches with activities spread all across the country. Overall Job Purpose The Physiotherapist is an employee of the SRCS Rehabilitation Centre, Mogadishu. The position is in the Physiotherapy department of the SRCS Rehabilitation Centre which is part of the SRCS Rehabilitation Program for Disabled in Somalia, which again is a part of Somali Red Crescent Society.. Physiotherapist has the knowledge, skills and judgment to provide services related musculoskeletal, orthopedic, neurological function, pediatric, Respiratory function, cardiovascular function, sexual function and prescription of assistive devices to optimize function across the whole life span within a wide range of settings and contexts.
